Height: 1.5 to 4 feet 

Flower Color: Reddish-brown 

Leaves: Long, narrow, and lance-shaped with wavy or curly margins

Habitat: Moist, disturbed, compacted soils (ditches, roadsides, wet meadows, overgrazed pastures)

Growing Season: Starts growing in early spring (peak leaf growth in spring, flowering from May through July, producing seeds into late summer - sometimes persisting into winter)

Best Time to Treat: Early spring or fall 

• Toxic to livestock if consumed in large quantities 
• Contains soluble oxalates that can cause kidney failure
